The rate
£40an hour
We kept it low on purpose, because we were paying for things ourselves not very long ago.
You pay for the hour you had. Pay per session, or monthly for whatever was used that month, whichever is easier. Stripe link or bank transfer. Nothing upfront and no minimum.
What is not on the clock
Reading your drafts and answering your messages between sessions is not charged. We are not going to bill you for a WhatsApp.
- Reading a draft between sessions and sending notes back.
- Replying when you are stuck or panicking, usually the same day.
- Notes after every session, and a short note to a parent if they would like one.
- The templates and timelines we wish someone had sent us.
The only boundary, said plainly: if a draft turns into a whole new piece of work, we will say so and book a session for it.
The practical bits
Booking and cancelling
Sessions are online, usually evenings and weekends. Missed one? First time there is no charge and we will check you are all right. After that, 24 hours' notice.
No commitment
No minimum number of sessions and nothing to cancel. Some people come once. Some come fortnightly for a year. Both are fine, and stopping is fine.
If an hour was not worth it, tell us and we will not charge you for it. That is not a policy buried somewhere, it is the reason you can risk booking one.
The rate may go up for new people later, if we ever get to the point of turning work away. If that happens, anyone already working with us keeps £40. We will not put your price up halfway through Year 13.
