Computing at Imperial. Spring weeks in 2026.
Applied in the 2024 cycle and missed the Imperial offer by one mark in Further Maths. Spent a year at Warwick reading Physics, retook, applied again in 2025 and got in. That year was not a plan. It was what was left after results day went wrong, and it worked out.
Was Head of Quant at the Warwick Quant Society, which mostly meant running sessions for other people. Gold in the British Algorithmic Olympiad.

Why this exists
Yuyao had a year of wanting one honest hour with someone two years ahead, and there was not one available at a price a sixth-former could justify. The free schemes are good and we send people to them, but they are means-tested. The consultancies start at a few hundred pounds for a consultation.
So this is that thing: an hour, £40, with someone who did it recently enough to remember the details, and who will tell you when your plan does not sound realistic.
What we are not
Not a company
A student with a degree to do. Hours are capped, we close for exams, and if we are full we will say so rather than squeeze you in badly.
Not a qualified teacher
This is not tutoring and we do not teach the syllabus or admissions tests. We help with the parts nobody teaches: which firms, where to apply, how to write it, what happens next.
